 About me test

 I was born and raised in Montréal, Québec, and graduated from Université
 de Montréal with an M.A. in Demography in 2001, under the auspices of
 Pr. Jacques Légaré.  From 2000 to 2004, I was a policy analyst at Social
 Development Canada, a department of the Canadian federal
 government.  I took a leave of absence in August 2004 to become a Ph.D.
 student of Public Administration at Syracuse University, and benefit from
 the combined experiences of Tim Smeeding, Doug Wolf and John Palmer
 in the field of social policy.

 I enjoy cross-country skiing, swimming, and cycling;  I have a keen interest
 in Canadian and Québec politics.  I am a self-confessed TV addict who
 found a marvelous cure for my condition: not owning a TV.  I am a
 registered member of Syracuse`s Club Francophonie; I do not mind if
 people want to practice their conversational French with me (in fact, I
 encourage it).

 Warning: When people meet their first Québécois, many are tempted
 to ask whether Québec will one day become an independent country.
 Please note that asking such a question is considered quite rude;
 in any case, the answer you`ll get will be biased in one way or another.
