Maxwell African Caucus - MAC's mission is to expose the Syracuse community to the African culture and portray Africa in a positive light, contrary to the sinister images usually portrayed in the media. We achieve this objective mainly through our Student Speaker Series where Syracuse University students have the opportunity to present the research they are conducting on Sub-Saharan Africa. In the past, we have had students talking about their experience of working in conflict-ridden Northern Uganda, HIV/AIDS in Malawi, Women miners and ARVs in Kenya, the election of the first woman president in Africa, among others.

The Maxwell Women's Caucus is a graduate organization started in the early 1990’s to promote open dialogue on women's issues in the Maxwell community, and organize programs and events that promote equality and understanding among the genders. http://mwc.cp.maxwell.syr.edu/
