Thèmes de recherche
Le travail de la conception urbaine et de l’urbanisme fixe le capital dans la ville dans une façon esthétique, pour un résultat qui transforme la vie sociale des quartiers. À ceux qui sont chargées de la conception urbaine : architectes, paysagistes et urbanistes, des questions devraient être posées. Qui a accès aux processus politiques de l’urbanisme? Comment tendre vers l’égalité sociale et économique dans les espaces urbains? Mes recherches explorent les rapports entre la politique économique et le processus de la conception urbaine qui abordent trois axes :
o De quelles façons est-ce que la requalification ou le réaménagement de l’espace public aggrave-t-il l’inégalité sociale et économique ?
o Comment les architectes et les urbanistes reproduisent-ils l’inégalité sociale parmi les espaces urbains, même qu’ils sont contraints par les mandats économiques et politiques ?
o Comment les concepteurs affrontent-ils les soucis et les exigences des mouvements sociaux dans leurs dessins, leur travail ?
